We got back to the hostel and we met two of her friends, both moslem. So she asked the girl again, and somehow the girl gave her a non assuring answer, and my housemate goes all gloomy and muttered "I Shouldn't go there next time" She went all sad and everything and her friend patted her and said "It's okay, you didn't know, so it's ok" So I was bulging my eyes thinking, 'This girl acted like my housemate actually did something bad by eating ice cream!' I didn't get the words exactly so I re-asked her and she said "The food is ok, the drink is ok, I don't know about the _____". I missed hearing the '____' so I didn't know what she was actually saying. Somehow my housemate got upset, gave me an accusing look (like I tried to deliberately put her in hell by offering my ice cream) and ran upstairs without saying anything to me, left me in the middle of the badminton court. So I again re-asked the girl "You don't know about the what?" but she sort of ignored me and played badminton! So I went upstairs and went to my room. I was already fuming by then. What was that girl thinking saying such things? If she doesn't know then she shouldn't say it in such a scary way and keep her mouth shut. I went out of the room and another housemate asked me what's wrong with 'the housemate' since 'the housemate' didn't talk to her at all and just ignored her. Somehow later that night 'the housemate' talked to me in a sort of casual way so we made up? But I deffinitely won't be asking her to go eat with me anymore.
I'm still tempted to say "Tell your God I forced you to eat the ice cream so he'll put me in hell instead, OK?"
